An anti-static valved holding chamber (aVHC) is commonly known as a spacer, a device used with your inhalers to ensure the medication gets to your lungs and not in your mouth or back of your throat.
To get the most benefit from your inhaler, you should ideally coordinate when you push down on your inhaler in the middle of a deep inhalation. This is often difficult to do, especially for children. The AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC makes it easier to coordinate the actuation of your inhaler with your inspiratory intake to obtain maximum benefit from your medication.
The AeroChamber Plus® Flow-Vu® aVHC has a unique Inspiratory Indicator and EZ Flow™ exhalation valve.
It may be used with a ComfortSeal® Mask for children or for adults who prefer this method. These Valved Holding Chambers (VHC) have FDA 510(k) clearance for use with both Metered Dose and Soft Mist Inhaler formats. The new Intermediate Mask, along with the remainder of the product line, minimizes dead space and helps reduce gaps where unwanted air can enter around the mask.
